Urgent Security was founded to fill a critical gap in the security industry: delivering high-quality, fire watch and security services for short-term projects. Our founder, Rudo Robinson, personally guided them through the DC fire marshal’s requirements, determining they needed five fire watch officers (one for every two floors, plus one in the fire control room).


Within three hours, we had vetted officers on site. We drafted and submitted the fire watch plan, reviewed instructions with the officers, and monitored patrols 24/7 to ensure compliance and readiness for inspection. When the fire system was repaired, we coordinated directly with the fire marshal for the required inspection—managing the process end-to-end so the property manager could focus on their residents.

  • $3 million general liability and $5 million umbrella insurance
  • Detailed, labor law-compliant employee handbooks
  • Sound hiring practices and background checks on all staff
  • Minimum pay of $1 above minimum wage for officers
  • Comprehensive officer training and all required fire watch equipment (flashlights, reflective vests, radios, megaphones)
  • 24/7 supervisor accessibility
  • Granting Urgent Security access to tracking and time clock systems
  • Electronic incident reporting (no handwritten reports)
